Education & Services
Emmanuel Christian High School is a vibrant place offering a full course load to all
students from Grade 9 to 12, including all necessary required and elective courses to
achieve the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Students can also participate in many
extracurricular opportunities, including athletics and student clubs.
Students who join this club grow in their awareness and knowledge of local, provincial and federal political issues, especially those highlighted by the Association for Reformed Political Action (ARPA). They seek to share their Christian voice in the area of politics by distributing pamphlets, writing letters, interviewing people, organizing assemblies or attending the ARPA Youth conference.
Drama Club
This bi-annual club puts on a full-length play or musical in the spring. Through an audition process in November students are chosen. The cast practices from December through April, learning lines, attending practices, building sets, or running tech. Students will experience lots of hard work, bonding, fun and enthusiasm.
Dungeons and Dragons Club
Be part of a group of role-playing adventurers who tackle challenges, slay monsters, and claim the loot! We meet twice a month after school as a group of students who enjoy gaming, improvisation, and dynamic storytelling. Make sure to bring a few dollars for pizza!
Eagles Athletics
Go Eagles! We offer the opportunity for our boys and girls to participate in Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Cross Country, Hockey, Track and Field, and Badminton throughout the year.
The Emmanuel Christian Orchestra is our school band. Members are students, parents and alumni. Our year consists of weekly rehearsals and several larger performances. Every two or three years we participate in a mass band event with other schools across Canada.
Math & Coding
ECHS’ Math Club practices for the math contests offered by the University of Waterloo, culminating in the Gr.12 Euclid contest. The Club meets weekly after school, typically in the second semester. Coding Club is a student-directed club where the members work on computer-related projects. We've explored writing games and building and programming Lego Technic robots.
Student Leadership Team
SLT consists of creative, energetic senior students at ECHS whose goal is to foster a God-centered atmosphere inside and outside of the classrooms in addition to the academic pursuits of learning. They plan and organize activities like skating, events, programs, and theme days and weeks throughout the school year.
Tuck Shop
Every day, during the lunch break, members of the SLT open a Tuck Shop in the school’s front lobby. It’s a great opportunity for students to socialize and enjoy a favourite treat, even fresh baked cookies!During the last months of the school year, ice-cream and freezies are sold. Money earned from the Tuck Shop supports the activities of the Student Leadership Team.
Yearbook
Our yearbook club works hard during the school year taking photos of all aspects of our life at ECHS. This culminates in a stunning yearbook they create that students can purchase as a beautiful memento of their high school years.
